duraseal rustic beige on white oak

I recently got my wood floors refinished. I thought from the samples taken it would be darker. Maybe I should do a more in depth blog post about this down the road. He claims it is not possible to change, or tint, the existing stains in any way. I had decided on Rubio as a finish but we cannot seem to find a color thats right for the handscraped walnut floors we are getting. Any ideas/suggestions?? We used Rustic Beige on our red oak floors.
